advent calendar eric carle pop up 300x300 Eric Carle Dream Snow Pop Up Christmas Advent CalendarEric Carle is one of my heroes.  When my children were young, I read the The Very Hungry Caterpillar over and over to them, because they loved it.  Eric Carle's illustrations capture the eyes and heart of children, and his stories are beloved by many.

Now he has taken his story Dream Snow and turned it into this lovely Dream Snow Pop Up Advent Calendar.  Since Eric Carle already knows how to entertain children, you know that this will be a lot of fun for all.

Count down the days until Christmas with this wonderful pop-up advent calendar, based on the popular Christmas story Dream Snow by Eric Carle, author of The Hungry Caterpillar. Winter Animals Advent Calendar

advent calendar winter animals 300x219 Winter Animals Advent CalendarThere are so many beautiful Christmas Advent calendars to choose from, no matter if you are buying one for the children in your life, or for yourself to celebrate and anticipate the Advent season.  For the next few days, I will be highlight some of the ones that have caught my eye, due to their artwork, or some other factor.

This particular Advent calendar, the Winter Animals Advent Calendar, is appropriate for any child leading up to the Christmas holiday.  The artwork is simple, yet beautiful, and it is a peaceful animal scene, which would appeal to many children.
